OpenMarket is currently in early access. We are working with a select group of institutional professionals to refine the platform before broader availability.

Why OpenMarket Exists

Allocators spend as much time comparing notes with peers as they do reading formal diligence materials. Who's actually performing. Which managers are worth the meeting. How a strategy holds up when you talk to someone who's been in it for three years.

That knowledge is some of the most valuable information in alternatives. And right now, it lives in hallway conversations, private dinners, and group texts that disappear. It doesn't scale, it doesn't compound, and it's not searchable.

OpenMarket captures that knowledge so it compounds over time. Instead of fading after a conversation ends, peer insight becomes a resource the entire community can build on.

What OpenMarket Does

Allocators share candid perspectives on managers, strategies, and market dynamics in a verified community. The platform organizes that knowledge as it's created so the community can search it and build on it.

No one can pitch you. Discussions are only visible to the allocator community. GPs never see discussion content, who participated, or which allocators viewed their profile.

Allocators control when and how they engage. No sales dynamics. No external pressure.

What OpenMarket Is Not

OpenMarket is not a marketplace. It does not facilitate fundraising or outreach.

Individual allocator activity, intent, and identity are never exposed to GPs, intermediaries, or any external party. GP participation does not include visibility into allocator behavior.

These boundaries are structural, not policies that evolve with revenue pressure.

Principles

Allocator-first by design

Every decision about access, visibility, and functionality starts with what serves allocators. Not distribution incentives, not GP revenue, not engagement metrics.

No inbound exposure

No one can reach out to you, pitch you, or solicit you through the platform. Your participation is invisible to anyone outside the allocator community.

Structure without sales

Insight is organized and preserved without pitching or commercial workflows attached to it. Knowledge stays clean.

Durable intelligence

Discussions are structured so insight compounds over time rather than fading. What the community knows today is searchable tomorrow.

Access and Governance

Access is limited to verified institutional allocators, including endowments, foundations, public pensions, corporate pensions, single family offices, multi-family offices, OCIOs, insurance companies, fund of funds, sovereign wealth funds, and hospital systems.

This isn't optional. The quality and candor of the community depends on it.

Governance decisions prioritize participant discretion and long-term trust over growth.

Founded by an Allocator

OpenMarket was built by Patrick Green, a former allocator who spent years evaluating alternative investment strategies at the institutional level. The platform exists because the problems it solves are ones he experienced firsthand.
